Give us some credit...

This post might be a little bit of a rant, but I'm slightly heated right now.

Last night was our Spring Band Formals, which is put on by two different organizations. Kappa Kappa Psi, the national honorary band fraternity, and Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary band sorority. Between myself and two other people, we put a ton of work in on these formals. From designing the invitations and tickets, finding a place to hold it, determining the dinner, finding the dj, buying decorations, getting favors (very nice 1oz candy holders), etc. I put over $1,600 on my credit card in advance, with the risk that if no one showed up, I'd lose the money.

Well, needless to say that last night was a big success. 72 people showed up, dinner was great, the dance was great, everyone had fun, it was a blast. The best part is when you get home and check Facebook and see the hundreds of people posting status' about how amazing there night was.

Here's where I get heated.

The dance is sometimes called Spring Band Formals. Sometimes it's called KKY/TBS formals. Well one kid, who is actually half in charge of planning it next year for Tau Beta Sigma's side of the dance, has a status saying that he had a wonderful time at TBS formals last night. I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it, but this person is one of those stuck up types. His shit doesn't stink (pardon my french) if you know what I mean. Where does he get off saying that after both organizations put in so much work and money, and he does nothing but show up (and his date didn't pay for her ticket).

Heated. People, before you haul off and post something on Facebook, think.
