Yep. The final countdown has started, we officially have 75 days until Dr. Baker hands us seniors a diploma, shakes my hand, and I am no longer an undergraduate of Ohio Northern University. Very exciting.
So... this new Social Media class... I do believe I'm going to like it, and that's not just because I know Aggie is going to be reading this. I've started the readings for the class... well, only the book Engage. So far... decent. I was more excited because I actually made my first textbook purchase on my iPad. That was my original intent, of course, for purchasing my iPad. The ability to get ebooks for a lot cheaper, and take notes. So far... neither has really happened.
Anyway, as I was saying, I do think I'm going to like this. I would really like to take a more hands-on approach in my career on this kind-of stuff. For some reason, the theories, thoughts, and reasons behind why it (Social Media) works so well fascinate me. But let's steer away from talking about it. This is supposed to be my "ONU blog post" in which I talk about something happening in my life.
Let's see. Let's see. What in the world is happening. Not a whole lot I guess. Things are starting to get really weird around the radio station. I've been a student manager for the past two years, and now, obviously, I am not next year. The new guys are coming in, we're starting to train them, and after week six, I really don't have a job anymore. It's really strange to have to clear out your desk, clean off all the computers of your work, and box everything up. But hopefully I'll just be moving it to a new desk within a couple of weeks... right?
Okay. That's going to end this blog post. In the future, look forward to a post with my thoughts and comments on the first section of "Engage" by Brian Solis. I like what he's saying so far...
